i'm ned.
I am a Brooklyn based sound artist and filmmaker. Visual and sonic storytelling are normally two separate disciplines, but for me they combine to convey emotion, complexity, and story.
I got my start in Public Television, working at the award winning PBS station, ‘GBH, where I directed, shot and edited promos, animated graphics for documentaries, sound designed for NOVA, and wrote bespoke music. I began my stint as an independent composer by writing the theme song for PRX The World. Since then I’ve made music and sound for Patagonia, Harvard, The Boston Globe, PUMA, and Pushkin.
As a filmmaker, I’ve made multiple documentaries, including the heartfelt story of a small textile company, Harrisville Designs. I’ve directed music videos, cut trailers, and even made graphics for a live choose your own adventure game show.
However you want to tell your story, I am ready to help you tell it.
